How much does a Vilnius trip cost?
Vilnius is one of the most affordable capitals in the EU. Budget travelers sharing a hostel dorm and eating at local cafeterias can get by on €50–70 per person per day. Mid-range travelers staying in a comfortable 3-star hotel, eating at good restaurants and doing a museum or tour each day should budget €100–150 per person per day. Comfort and boutique-hotel seekers typically spend €180–250 per person per day.
The biggest variable is accommodation — Vilnius prices dropped sharply from peak season (Jun–Aug) to winter. Day trips to Trakai or Kaunas by public transport cost as little as €8–12 return and add almost no cost to your trip. A Bolt across the Old Town is rarely more than €5.
