Transparency matters to us. This page explains exactly how Vilnius Escape earns money and what effect, if any, that has on what you read.

Our affiliate partnerships

Vilnius Escape participates in affiliate programmes with two tour-booking platforms:

  • GetYourGuide (partner ID LDXYA0P) — the leading global tours and activities marketplace.
  • Viator (Partner ID P00305208), a Tripadvisor company — a major global marketplace for tours, activities and experiences.

When you click one of our affiliate links and complete a booking on either platform, we receive a small commission. This commission is paid by the platform — you pay exactly the same price you would pay booking directly. There is no surcharge, no hidden fee, and no disadvantage to using our links.

What this means in practice

Tour cards, "Book now" buttons, and "Check availability" links throughout Vilnius Escape are affiliate links. They open the relevant GetYourGuide or Viator page in a new tab. In HTML they carry rel="sponsored nofollow" as required by Google's webmaster guidelines, and we identify them by context (call-to-action text, booking card format).

Our editorial independence

Our affiliate partnerships do not influence what we recommend. We do not accept payment to feature a specific tour or operator, we do not publish sponsored reviews, and we do not have exclusive deals that would bias us toward one product over another.

If we think an activity is overpriced, mediocre, or simply not worth your time, we say so — or we don't feature it at all. Our recommendations are based on research, verified traveller feedback, and honest assessment of value. That independence is the reason this site is useful; we have no incentive to compromise it.

No other paid placements

Beyond the GetYourGuide and Viator affiliate programmes described above, Vilnius Escape has no other monetisation: no display advertising, no sponsored posts, no hotel commissions, no paid links. If that ever changes, this page will be updated immediately.
